When was the last time you took a good look at the bathroom mirror? Has it been that long? Does your mirror reflect the beautiful you? Or, does it show you with marks and streaks all over your face? Which view of yourself do you prefer, especially in the morning when you're in a hurry getting ready for work? Isn't it nice to have a clean mirror for you to see your gorgeous face?
Keeping your mirror clean and cleaning it on a regular basis makes the mirror available to you and guests, and can make you feel good about yourself. When you feel good about one thing in your home, it's easier to clean something else. Keeping the mirror clean is an easy thing to do. Keep reading to learn 3 easy steps to improve the cleanliness of your bathroom mirror.
- Develop your power of observation. You probably use the mirror every day. Train yourself to notice when the mirror has accumulated excessive amounts of finger marks, streaks, and spatters. Just look at the mirror and notice if it needs to be cleaned. Consider doing the same thing with any mirrors throughout your house, your car or at your office. It is usually easiest to clean an item when it requires just a little cleaning effort to restore it to a clean condition.
- Cleaning your mirror is easy. You can use a clean soft rag or paper towel. Or, some people use crumpled up newspapers. Those newspapers can serve as gentle abrasives to gunk that is on the mirror surface. Or, there are commercially available cleaning products for glass and mirrors. These usually have some sort of alcohol or ammonia base. They can emit strong odors. You may dislike smelling them.
Some people prefer to use gentle solutions of 50% vinegar and 50% distilled water. That is a safer cleaning solution to use if you'd prefer to use it. Make sure you keep all chemicals out of the reach of children. Whatever cleaning solution you use, spray on a thin layer of cleaner and wipe dry with the rag or paper towel. Your mirror should shine and be free of haze and streaks.
- As you use your mirror, I recommend that you watch where you place your fingers. Also, be mindful of any soap or toothpaste particles that get flung onto the mirror. Wipe these off immediately to keep your mirror clear between major cleanings. You'll see that there is less need for you to clean your mirror.
